Jack Linden, head of Linden Lab’s land team, announced yesterday in a Second Life blog post that he will be departing the employ of Linden Research, Inc.
An employee of Linden Lab since 2005, land and community manager Jack Linden was at the root of numerous controversial Linden moves, including content regulation of the Second Life mainland and the ban of camping bots, as well as the OpenSpaces land pricing debacle that sent land pricing into a strong downward spiral in 2008. The impact Jack Linden has had on SEcond Life and its virtual economy have been dramatic and undeniable. The larger question of what happens next is, as yet, unanswered.
