The second book in the Luke Banderloft fantasy series by Rocky Perry is out. It’s called Luke Banderloft and Charlie’s Hooks – as a thank you for the success of the first book in the series, Perry has decided to let readers have copies of that first book for free if they get the Kindle Edition.
The first book in the series, Luke Banderloft and the McFarven Pirates, tells the tale of a down-on-his-luck wayfarer, Luke, a silver skinned winged elf, whose life turns around after finding a true friend. Adventure leads Luke to the high seas where he and his crew have to fight for their lives as they try to outrun the pirate lord that is hunting them down. Now, desperate to find his missing friends, Luke takes command of a mighty vessel and battles his way through brigands, trolls and pirates to find his comrades, but who can he really trust?
Perry has a readable, thoughtful style, but switches fluidly to a stronger, edgier voice during the action sequences, and his characters are real and believable, and it does what a good book should do – it keeps you turning the pages. We think you’ll find it Luke Banderloft a good fun read – but we don’t know how long this free offer will last, so you’d better go grab your copy.
