Stolen Droids
One of the hardest things about doing media on the internet is knowing whether you’re doing it right. The popularity of a show can hinge on how well known the show is and how well liked the creators are, as well as the quality of the show itself. To be nominated for an award at all means that you’ve won the Trifecta – you’re doing great work, you’re well known and people respect you as creators.
We’re very happy to say that one of our best shows,Stolen Droids, has been nominated for the 8th annual Podcast Awards in the Technology category. Creators Zuke, Schmidty, Zohner, and Stark have one of the best technology shows on the entire Internet, and the proof is that they’ve gotten this nomination. They’re rubbing elbows with other podcasts in other categories such as The Majority Report, The Rachel Maddow Show, NASA EDGE,and several offerings by ESPN and CNN.
Now that they’ve been nominated, a panel of judges has to listen to all the nominated shows and select four finalists for each category. Then it’ll be up to a vote from the public to select the winners.
This nomination happened because a significant number of people went to PodcastAwards.com and told the folks there that Stolen Droids has the right stuff – so on behalf of the guys at Stolen Droids, thank you for helping to make this happen. We’re very proud of them. They work very hard to make their show the best, and we’ve got our fingers crossed. Good luck, guys.
