As fellow dedicated fans of Doctor Who, we knew that the prize we wanted to give out in our first major contest would be none-other than a Fez, just like the one worn by the Eleventh doctor, wonderfully portrayed by Matt Smith!

SCIFI.radio is elated to welcome all of our new followers, as we try to spread the word on our radio station to all the fandoms we play music for. Whether it’s Superhero, Comic Book, Science Fiction, Steampunk, Fantasy, or Gaming (just to name a few); we’ve got music from fans for fans. We don’t just play the music you hear in major motion-picture soundtracks, we’re playing professionally made music from the world of fan musicians. And it’s all family friendly! We’re rated PG-13 or better, with some parental guidance suggested. You could let your kids listen to it all day long and not worry about what they might hear.

We also produce our own original programming, such as our ground breaking weekly panel show, The Event Horizon. The show premiered in February of 2013, but already we’ve been honored to host such guests as science fiction writers Jody Lynn Nye & Robert Seutter, fan favorite actors Bruce Boxleitner and Tim Russ, novelists and Star Trek screenwriters David Gerrold, Jimmy Diggs and Geoffrey Thorne, just to name a few.

Our other original shows include the steampunk series, The Adventures of Drake & McTrowell, and popular talk shows like The Corsair’s Closet, TV Campfire, the award nominated StolenDroids, Offshoot Comics’ Off Topic as well as popular sci-fi, steampunk and dieselpunk DJ’s Gary DaBaum and Willow Leafstorm that really pack the listeners in!

You came for the contest, but we’re hoping you’ll stick around for the music and the good times to come on SCIFI.radio!

And now for our winners, randomly chosen by our intern postal ninjas:

Our Facebook winner: Julio Wong!

Our Twitter winner: Christine Watt!

Be watching your message boxes people, we’ll be contacting you soon!
