‘Friday the 13th’ Game Gets Single Player!

Gun Media’s treatment of this epic franchise is getting single player mode after all.

Friday The 13th: The Game was originally a love letter to the Friday The 13th franchise, called Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp. It was kickstarted successfully in 2015 and garnered enough attention that the rights holder for Friday The 13th actually gave them permission to use the name proper. The game was initially designed as a multiplayer-only title but, with the aforementioned announcement from publisher Gun Media and developer Illfonic, it was told that the game will be delayed until the first quarter of 2017 to add extra content in the form of Tommy Jarvis as a playable character, and an additional map in the form of Packanack Lodge.

Remember, the multiplayer beta will be coming up later this year with four extra codes to give to friends to allow them to try the game before buying. They will release the full multiplayer experience during the first Quarter of 2017 and during Summer 2017 they will release the single player campaign which will include AI bots. The game currently costs $40 USD digitally and $60 USD for its full retail release. You can pre-order the game to get the single-player component for no extra cost upon its completion.
