Left to right, Marsia Powers, Grr Argh.

When enough fans get together for a single purpose, they can change the world. So it is with Fandom Charities, the 501(c) charity organization that runs both the Whedonopolis web site and the WhedonCon convention. Today we are speaking with the editor in chief of Whedonopolis, chairman of the board of Fandom Charities and the showrunner of WhedonCon, Ms. Marsia Powers.

A long time fan of the works of Joss Whedon, Marsia knows almost literally everybody who’s anybody in Whedon fandom, and she uses her powers for good. Fandom Charities uses the money made via their charity events and conventions for dozens of worthy causes. Tune in to hear how this powerhouse of fandom makes it all happen. Your hosts are Gene Turnbow and Susan Fox.
