About me: I’ve been a SF&F fan since forever. I have an extensive personal library of the stuff, and my ability to read a book faster than a speeding bullet lets me be the one with all the answers on our radio show The Event Horizon!, which I co-host. I’m also a huge comics fan and have a large collection of my own. I’m a huge supporter of charities including Relay For Life, and anything that will help win the battle against cancer. Too many of the brightest lights have been lost to it.

I am big fan of RPG’s, comics, and movies. Among my various vices, I include being a science fiction/fantasy writer, and my first trilogy is coming out via Hunt Press. I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world a bit, and I’m a former Marine, a broadcast TV professional, and I also enjoy re-enacting, singing, storytelling and dressing up funny, and hitting people with sticks, etc. (I am member of the Society of Creative Anachronism.)

About me: Hello, I’m Gary. You can hear me every Friday and Sunday evening on Krypton Radio. I started out DJ’ing in the virtual world of Second Life in 2006 (with some RL experience in the late 90′s). Of course, I had a fear of the microphone, I believe the technical term is “Mic Shy”, until last year when I overcame it so I could DJ during the big weekend of the in world fundraiser Relay For Life of Second Life. Some time after that, I’m doing my regular Sunday set in world, playing a bunch of tv tunes, when Susan tells me that Gene asked if I’d be interested in being on Krypton Radio. And here I am. I am a huge comic book geek, but due to financial circumstances, I had to cut back……from fifteen comics a week, to fifteen comics a month. But I also still purchase the collected editions, the works of Jack Kirby, the Archie Archives, Swamp Think reprints, etc. Favorite TV shows include NCIS, NCIS LA, Arrow, A Game Of Thrones, and, of course, Doctor Who. I am a bit of a writer, a few ideas I have that I’d love to work as scripts include a Steampunk Fantasy Western, a quirky Science Fiction Comedy (sorta put it in the same category with Buckaroo Banzai), and, yes I’m serious, a children’s program (but I stink at drawing, so my puppet designs pretty much stink). Other than that, I can be found at the DaBaum Studios in an undisclosed location where the authorities cannot find me, making life miserable for Jasper the Janitor. I’m actually hoping to move to the DaBaum Communications Satellite high above the Earth where the authorities cannot reach me, but that’s going to take some time. |

I am a classically trained Scientist (Chemist, Physicist, Mathematician), and grew up with Doctor Who (from the start), Star Trek (TOS), and most of the British Sci Fi, like Blakes Seven and Quatermas. I love 1950’s Sci Fi ‘B’ movies, and read stuff like the Lensman Series, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and anything I find interesting, including Science textbooks…. Sort of Sheldon Cooper meets Sexy. I am a founder member of ‘The Planet Midnight’ anti-bullying Doctor Who Fandom Page on Facebook, and take bullying issues very seriously.
