Krypton Radio reaches a select and rapidly growing target audience of science fiction, comic book, steampunk and gaming fandom. In a world teaming with podcasts, Krypton Radio is one of the few actual internet radio stations (if not the only) of its kind in the world. We seem to have hit a nerve with the fannish population of the world, and new Krypton Radio readers and listeners are visiting and tuning in all the time. So that you know what you’d be getting for your advertising dollar, here are some statistics about Krypton Radio:

Krypton Radio is currently growing its traffic at the almost alarming rate of 20% – 25% per quarter. We have over 1,730 fans on our Facebook page, and expect to hit 2,000 by mid-May. Our fan base continues to increase, amplifying the effect and bringing in even more web site and radio stream traffic month by month.
Our radio stream reaches over 6,000 distinct listeners world wide each month, reaching listeners in 109 countries around the world. We are listed on iTunes, TuneIn.com, Shoutcast.com and dozens of other radio listing sites.
An estimated 70% of our listeners come from the United States, Germany and Japan. About one third of our listeners are tuning in from inside Second Life.
Our web site currently serves up over 200,000 page views read by roughly 25,000 unique visitors a month on average, with approximately 87% of this traffic originating in the United States. (That works out to over a million hits a month, but it’s page views that count, not hits.) We also have over ten thousand subscribers who read our articles via RSS feed (yes, we know “it’s over 9,000″ is an internet meme, but we’re serious here) – and few web sites are accompanied by working round-the-clock radio streams as ours is.

All the ads are viewable on every page and change position with each page view. These ads are controlled automatically and can be purchased by the month or by a 60 or 90 day period and for a single time period or by monthly subscription.

To choose one of these ads, click on an unused space and follow the instructions. Once the ad is approved, a PayPal payment form will be sent to the email address submitted. If no empty spaces are viewable, please email sales@kryptonradio.com to request an open space be added. If a monthly payment is preferred, a renewal notice will be sent at the end of the time period (in case you wish to purchase an additional month). With a subscription, the next 30, 60 or 90 days’ payment will automatically be withdrawn at the beginning of the new period. The automatic payment can be stopped by the subscriber by canceling it in their Paypal account at any time except on the Paypal withdrawal date. Once the subscription is stopped, the ad will run it’s course until the time is up.

Krypton Radio operates on a combination of paid advertising, sponsorships and donations from businesses like yours, as well as donations from listeners like you. We offer you the chance to have your message of sponsorship carried on-air, very much in the same style as you might find on National Public Radio in the United States. We also offer advertising on our web site, with varying degrees of exposure and visibility according to the level of your participation.

Sponsorship earns you the following:

A short, on-air sponsor message similar to: “Programming on Krypton Radio is is made possible in part by a grant from the Fill-In-The-Company, and donations from listeners like you. The Fill-In-The-Company is the place to find all the best whatever-they-are’s in Your Real or Virtual Location. Visit the Fill-In-The-Company at The Place To Find Them, or visit them on the web at somewebsite.com.”
Your logo on the Krypton Radio website with a link to your business’s website.

There are three levels of sponsorship available:

Premium Sponsorship
$80 USD per month
Sponsor message plays 8 times a day (once every 3 hours) on the Krypton Radio stream, every day for an entire month

Standard Sponsorship
$40 USD per month
Sponsor message plays 4 times a day (once every 6 hours) on the Krypton Radio streams, every day for an entire month

Supporting Sponsorship
$20 USD per month
Your name or your business’s name appears in a list of supporting members on the main page of our web site for an entire month.

We accept payment in US Dollars only via Paypal for sponsorships. Sponsorships must be arranged in advance via email. Our PayPal account is registered as ‘kryptonradio@kryptonradio.com’.

Sponsor message guidelines are as follows:

Sponsor messages begin with a preamble that may vary slightly from message to message, of the form, “Today’s programming on Krypton Radio is made possible in part by” followed by your name or your business’s name and how your potential customers can reach you.
Sponsor messages are a maximum of 15 seconds in length.
Krypton Radio on-air talent will record the sponsor message.
Krypton Radio will restrict sponsor messages to factual information about the sponsor, including location, product name and description of services.
Sponsor messages may contain information such as names of contacts, web site addresses, locations and other contact information.
Sponsor messages may contain a slogan or corporate positioning statement.
