It’s hard to get a creative project off the ground – it’s even harder when it’s a sci-fi genre project. If you’re going to BlasterCon in Woodland Hills, California this weekend, join station manager Gene Turnbow for a workshop in how it’s done – bring your ideas, and we’ll talk about how to make them happen!  As founder and creator of Krypton Radio, the world’s only general science fiction radio station and veteran of television, movies, games and radio, he’s uniquely qualified to help you get your dreams off the paper and into the hands of the fans who want to experience it.

BlasterCON is a three-day general SF/Fantasy convention in the Los Angeles area, with a late-70s/80s retro attitude and an emphasis on history, hardware, and practical effects: models, puppets, props, costumes and makeup. It will be held from Friday May 10th through Sunday May 12th, at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills.

General hours for the convention are: Noon-10pm Friday, 10am-10pm Saturday, and 10am-7pm Sunday. (Some events run earlier and later.)
