We’ve been seeing the stylish posters of Logan expressing his inner nature all over the place – on billboards, on the sides of buses, it’s everywhere. And now we have a first look at the trailer for the new movie, and this time it looks like they’re going to hit a home run at the box office. Previous attempts to make Wolverine movies didn’t suffer for lack of Hugh Jackman, the man who created and defines the role in modern cinema, but they did suffer for weak stories, or weak acting, or just being half-hearted attempts over all.
Not this time. In the new movie, Logan is tempted by the promise of a return to mortality – but is it genuine? Probably not. Are there ulterior motives at work? Probably. We can’t wait to see how this all unfolds, and we’ll be standing in line at the box office on July 26, 2013.
Here’s the official synopsis for The Wolverine:
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
