Agent Peggy Carter will get her own TV series!

Great news for fans of the Marvel’s live-action television: ABC has renewed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and we’re getting that Peggy Carter TV series we were promised!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. started off with a slow burn, with many highly critical fans disappointed by it. However this was a deliberate and calculated move, as they were planning a tie-in with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with its game-changing story twist. After that, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. quickly became the show it was always meant to be, with interest and ratings slowly gaining momentum again.

Apart from the show with Coulson’s team, we have a brand new show to look forward to as well. Peggy Carter was the protagonist in Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, a short film included in the home video release of Iron Man 3. Hayley Atwell reprises her role as Peggy Carter, eventual co-founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., in a post World War 2 era. The series will also be on ABC, and it will be called Marvel’s Agent Carter. We can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
