Marvel Studio’s eagerly anticipated mini-series Agent Carter made its debut on the ABC Television network last night, and with it came the first theatrical teaser for the upcoming movie release, Ant-Man. It never ceases to amaze us that Marvel Studios can take third-string characters and turn them into major properties, and it looks like they’ve hit the mark with this one.

In this narrative, Hank Pym is played by Michael Douglas. He’s retired as the Ant-Man, and now passes the torch to a reluctant Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd. Lang is a petty criminal who has come into contact with the Ant-Man technology, which allows him to shrink in size while multiplying his strength. Putting this kind of power in the hands of somebody who’s morally compromised to begin with is in keeping with Marvel canon, and should make for an intriguing story line. Will he shrink from his new responsibilities, or grow to be the hero we all want him to be?

We can hardly wait to see what the full trailer looks like, and when Marvel Studios releases it, you’ll find it here.

Enjoy. Remember, you saw it here first on Krypton Radio. Share this page with your friends.

Marvel Studio’s Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd in the title role, Kirk Douglas as Hank Pym, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, and is scheduled for release July 17, 2015.
