Last Sunday’s 67th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony is now in the history books, and The Game of Thrones has made most of that history. The popular series based on has beaten the record for the number of Emmy Awards won in one year with 12 awards, surpassing The West Wing‘s first season haul of 9 golden trophies.
