star-wars-force-awakens-official-poster1.jpgThe DVD and Blu-Ray versions may have just been released, but in a recent press release, STARZ announced that on September 10, 2016, it will premier Star Wars: The Force Awakens on all six of its cable stations at 9 PM ET/PT and again at 11:20 PM ET/PT. Not only that, but you can also get a downloadable version from the STARZ App or through Amazon Prime.  What? Yes, that’s right.  If you’re a STARZ subscriber, you will be able to watch the seventh installment of the Star Wars epic tale on your phone or tablet.  That means you will never be too far away from lightsaber battles or X-wing dog fights in space!

According to President and CEO of STARZ, “No greater fandom has ever existed than the Star Wars fans, and we are thrilled to be the exclusive home of The Force Awakens.  We are offering a variety of ways for fans and subscribers to watch – on the STARZ networks, on demand, by streaming or download on the STARZ App or through an Amazon Prime STARZ subscription. We want to make the movie as accessible as the fans’ appetites for what is truly one of the greatest franchises of all time.”

If you’re not already a STARZ subscriber, well, you can become one!  It’s $8.99 per month (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers).  And not gonna lie?  STARZ has some really good series showing on it, and one that I know many fans are dying to see.  You can get instant access to more than 2,700 selections each month, including STARZ hit series ranging from Outlander, Power, and Survivor’s Remorse (which has my friend Tichina Arnold it in by the way and she’s FABULOUS!) as well as the much anticipated Neil Gaiman series American Gods, to Hollywood hits and popular movies. If your cable. Satellite, and teleco partners have the STARZ network, you can authenticate your account via their easy to use app, or even on your PC or Mac.

As most of you already know, The Force Awakens was one of the most anticipated movies of all times, as it was reuniting the original 1970’s cast, Carrie Fischer, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford, as well as Anthony Daniels (who is the only one to have appeared in all 7 of the franchises movies) and Peter Mayhew.  The new comers in Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) and the fandom fave Oscar Isaacs (Poe Dameron), make this newest Star Wars film something you should not miss.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens airs on all STARZ channels on September 10, 2016, at 9 PM ET/PT and again at 11:20 PM ET/PT.  It will also be played randomly throughout those 6 channels for the rest of the months.  Check your local listings for more information.

If you don’t have STARZ, you can go to www.starz.com or you can call your cable/satellite provider to order it.

Now go forth and watch epic TV … and May The Force Be With You.

Always.
