We have a special episode in store for you tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 pm Pacific / 12 am Eastern – it’s Burt Ward, who played Robin the Boy Wonder on the original Batman television series, alongside Adam West, Julie Newmar, Frank Gorshin, Eartha Kitt, Cesar Romero and practically half of Hollywood. The series has risen again to become a new cultural icon 50 years after the original series broadcast to a 54% audience share back in 1966. Burt continues to play the role of Dick Grayson even today, most recently appearing as the voice of Batman’s sidekick in Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.

A fan favorite, Burt tours the world making public appearances, but there’s more to him than that boyish voice that, somehow, has remained absolutely unchanged over the years: he runs Gentle Giants Rescue,  a rescue organization for large dog breeds. Gentle Giants also makes and sells Gentle Giants dog food which, remarkably, can double the life span of the dogs who eat it. Burt and his wife Tracey are rightly proud of the work they do.

To hear Burt Ward talk with host Susan Fox and Gene Turnbow about his life as a Caped Crusader, tune in at the following times throughout the coming week:
