The much awaited teaser for Thor: Ragnarok is finally here! The third solo Thor film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe gives us our first look at the Queen of the Dead, Lady Hela (Cate Blanchett, The Lord of the Rings trilogy). We also get glimpses of new characters Skurge the Executioner (Karl Urban, The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson, Westworld) and the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park).

Returning characters seen are Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Heimdall (Idris Elba). There is also a surprise appearance by a beloved character at the end. With an awesome soundtrack (Foreigner Song by Led Zeppelin), the teaser seems to indicate the film will be a great balance between epic fantasy and comedic banter by our heroes. If this is to be the final film of the Thor saga, it appears to be the crowning jewel.

Also confirmed to be appearing are Sif (Jaimie Alexander, Blindspot), Odin (Anthony Hopkins, SiThorlence of the Lambs), Volstagg (Ray Stevenson, Punisher: War Zone), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch, Sherlock) and Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) in an unknown role. Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Watiti, who has also directed What We Do in the Shadows and Eagle vs Shark.

Thor: Ragnarok is due out November 3, 2017.
