LOS ANGELES – On April 29, come put on your capes and #beasuperhero for the day.  The Lollipop Superhero Walk raises awareness and funding for Lollipop Theater Network’s in-hospital programs that provide pediatric patients and their family members with a fun escape from their daily reality. This year Lollipop has partnered with the Costume Designers Guild, pairing designers to create personalized costumes for eight of our very special patients — the ultimate superheroes! They’ll reveal those costumes at the event. Come join the fun!

LOLLIPOP’s mission is to bring joy into hospitals around the country through the magic of movies and music. Bringing movies currently available only in theaters, provides a moment of escape for the pediatric patients whose illness prevents them from going to the cinema and from just being a kid. We create excitement and diversion from the illness and daily medical treatments these children must face by rolling out the “red carpet,” handing out movie tickets and fun gifts, and having even having actors from film and television visit the sick children in their hospital rooms!

A lot of well known figures from movies and television will be on hand at the walk this year, including Colton Haynes (Arrow), Billy Bush, Parker Bates (This is Us), Mason Cook (Speechless), Soni Bringas (Fuller House), Echo Kellum (Arrow), Sam Lerner (The Goldbergs), Rebecca Mader (Once Upon a Time), Jacob Hopkins (The Goldbergs), Sean Ryan Fox (Henry Danger) Cooper Barnes (Henry Danger), Emery Kelly (Alexa & Katie), Jillian Rose Reed (Elena of Avalor), Katie Lowes (Scandal), Jake Allyn (The Quad), Lillimar (Knight Squad), Krystyn Lambert (World Renowned Magician).

Members of the Costume Designers will be on hand as well, including Kym Barrett, Michael Crow, Kristi Hoffman, Camille Jumelle, Arefeh Mansouri, Maranda Nichols, Gabrielle Sciabbarrasi, and Ariyela Wald-Cohain.

Some pretty big names in show business are sponsoring it this year. Dolby Laboratories, Cinemark Theaters, Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMAX Entertainment, McCann Systems, New Line Cinema, and Paramount Pictures all contributed to make this year’s event as good as they could make it.

Hey, if any PR agents from any of these companies are reading this, good job. We see you doing the right thing here.

The whole thing starts April 29 at Pan Pacific Park, 7600 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Check-in is 8:00 AM, and free parking is available in the adjacent lots on a first-come, first serve basis. The walk itself starts at 9AM, lasts for an hour, and will conclude with a fun after-party that includes: food, beverages, photo booth, music, games and more!
