If you’re a Marvel fan and looking for new stuff about your favorite superheroes who haven’t received their own movies yet, you’re in luck. According to a report from Variety there will be shows for Loki and Scarlet Witch, both of whom have appeared in numerous marvel films but haven’t had their own movies as of yet. Disney is purportedly looking at casting the original actors from the movies in the series roles, which means Tom Hiddleston will play Loki, and Elizabeth Olsen will play Scarlet Witch. An additional mini-series has also been mentioned, pairing up Winter Soldier and Falcon, and presumably this means Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie both have some work coming up.

Disney is creating the new shows for their new Disney+ service, and the word is that they’re focusing on second-tier Marvel Cinematic Universe characters rather than headliners like Captain America or Iron Man.  There were no story details for the new shows referenced in the report, but at very least, with Loki as a lead character practically anything could happen.

Disney’s streaming service Disney+ (formerly branded as “Disney Play”) is positioning itself as a rival of sorts to  Netflix, with Disney and Marvel content making the gradual migration to the new service, leaving Netflix subscribers high and dry with respect to Marvel content. The new service is supposed to launch sometime late in 2019.
