Are you and your younglings ready for a new series of Star Wars animated shorts showcasing classic characters and memorable stories? This coming Friday, November 30th, debuting on the all-new StarWarsKids.com and the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel, we will get a look at six of these brand new shorts.

With a few more shorts in December and regular releases in 2019, the series will keep true to the beloved original movies while branching into new and educational add-ons to welcome a younger audience. We will see these iconic stories told in a fun and unique way that we’ve never seen.

James Waugh, Lucasfilm’s vice president for franchise content and strategy, told StarWars.com:

“With Galaxy of Adventures, we wanted to craft something that allowed parents to help their kids take their first step into a much larger world whether they were ready to show their kids the films or wanted to find new ways to explore the content.”

Check out the trailer below!

The adventure will continue this weekend on Saturday December 1st, when a variety of product will be available to buy, including a new line of Hasbro toys which will be exclusive to Walmart before a release at all major nationwide retailers on January 1st, 2019. This is just the start of a year-long celebration leading up to the final chapter for the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars Episode IX

A couple photos were posted of the soon to be released toys to Twitter via @StarWarsJunk.

For me, this trailer brought pure Star Wars excitement. Even though this series is geared towards the youngest fans, I can easily see myself being whisked away to my favorite galaxy while watching these shorts. I can’t wait to see Han and Chewbacca having little arguments like an old married couple, Luke wielding his father’s lightsaber for the first time, and of course Leia being as sassy and fierce as ever while leading the Rebellion against the Empire.

This series looks perfect for the younglings in your life who may still need some training in the Force, so put on your Jedi robes, grab a snack, and take an exciting new trip to a galaxy far, far away.
