l-r: Kryten, Cat, Lister, Rimmer

British cult science fiction comedy series Red Dwarf has been around (and quoted incessantly by appreciative fans) for over thirty years. It originally ran from 1988 through 1999 on BBC Two, then was picked up by free-to-air UK tv channel ‘Dave’ in 2009, where it has been showing ever since. The most recently made episodes, designated Series XII, finished airing in November of 2017.

A current image of the actors, clockwise from the upper right: Chris Barrie (Rimmer), Craig Charles (Lister), Danny John-Jules (Cat), and Robert Llewellyn (Kryten).

Danny John-Jules (Cat) says he will be joined by original cast members Craig Charles (Lister), Chris Barrie (Rimmer), and Robert Llewellyn (Kryten), all of whom have become and stayed close friends over the decades. John-Jules confirms that there is no script yet, and that it is expected to wrap by the end of this year, as well as posting a video on Instagram saying: “We’re not allowed to say a damn word about what we’re doing”. Has the Cat has let the cat out of the bag?

In a May, Llewellyn had confirmed that Series XIII would be happening, but John-Jules has fleshed that out for us in late June. In addition, The AA surprised fans by releasing this ad on July 1st.
