KR:  You’ve written a new book!  What’s it called?

RE: It’s called The Waters and the Wild.

KR: You’re famous for your collaborations with Mercedes Lackey, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Andre Norton, Marvel Comics’Tom DeFalco, and others.  Is this a solo project or did you co-write it with another author?

RE: This is a collaboration with Mercedes Lackey, set in the “Underhill” universe, which contains the SERRAted Edge, Eric The Bard, Arcanum 101, and several other sub-series.

KR: Do you need to have read the earlier books to make sense of this one?

RE: The Waters and the Wild takes place in that same universe, but while the politics, the lore, and the magic will be familiar to readers of the previous books, it’s also a good place to jump in to the series because this is a standalone and not connected to the other story-arcs.

KR: When will The Waters and the Wild be available in bookstores?

RE: Both the hardcover and the e-book will be released October 1st (2019).  I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks about it—I admit I am a compulsive follower of reader reviews.

KR: With the collaboration, who wrote what and how much?

RE: I wrote roughly 3/4 of the book, working from an outline Misty and I brainstormed together.  I defy anyone to tell which chapters are hers and which are mine.

KR: Thank you for the interview, Rosemary Edghill!
