A young boy gave up his dreams of going to Walt Disney World in order to help evacuees of Hurricane Dorian, but his good deed and generous heart did not go unnoticed.

The boy, six-year-old Jermaine Belle of Allendale, South Carolina, had been saving all year for a trip to Walt Disney World. Then came Hurricane Dorian, and Jermaine decided that the evacuees needed it more, and set up a kiosk alongside Highway 125 near a local post office to give food and water completely free to those who had evacuated their homes due to Hurricane Dorian.

Jermaine’s kind heart and willingness to help those in need is something that all of us can learn from. As you can see in the video below, he has a table full of snacks and water, and he’s holding up a sign to advertise to passersby who may need a little positivity and a pick-me-up amid the storm.

Now, it seems this boy got the ultimate surprise for his good deed, a trip to Walt Disney World! He and his family were being interviewed by ABC Television – little did he know that outside, a very special visitor was waiting for him to give him a marvelous surprise: that trip to Disney World is going to happen anyway, as a reward for his selfless act.

There is still good in the world, and it is still worth fighting for. Young Jermaine Belle is all the proof we need.

I’m not crying. You’re crying.
