Grammy-winning singer Christina Aguilera has written a new song for the soundtrack of the upcoming animated fantasy comedy feature The Addams Family. It’s called Haunted Heart, and this new official lyric video features lots of custom animation created just for the video.

Morticia and Gomez Addams have always had one of the most romantic, passionate marriages in Hollywood. When The Addams Family was on TV from 1964 to 1966, most husbands and wives slept in twin beds six feet apart, whereas Morticia and Gomez hugged and kissed openly, especially if she spoke French. And in the 1993 Addams Family Values movie, Wednesday shocks another big sister in the maternity waiting room by explaining her parents had sex. As SCIFI.radio pointed out a few years ago, “unconditional and accepting love” has always been at the black heart of the Addams family, no matter which incarnation.

In Haunted Heart, Aguilera warns “My love is a haunted house, once you’re in, you ain’t getting out.”

The new Addams Family movie will be released October 11, 2019, just in time to get viewers in a Halloween mood.

If you can’t wait until then, IHOP is serving an Addams Family special menu, with dishes inspired by the movie Wednesday’s Web-cakes, Gomez’s Green Chile Omelette, Uncle Fester’s Chocolate Ice Scream Shake, Morticia’s Haunted Hot Chocolate, and the Kooky Kids Combo.

There’s a lot to love about the new movie, and Christina Aguilera’s video is icing on the cake.

Though it may actually be black icing. We’ll have to check that.

The Addams Family stars the voices of Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron, and darkens the doorsteps of theaters all over the planet on October 11, 2019.
