Newly released to coincide with the theatrical release of Disney’s Frozen 2, comes the music video to the single Into The Unknown performed by Panic! At The Disco.

Frozen 2 picks up three years after the previous film and finds Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven embarking on an adventure to the north to discover the origin of Elsa’s powers, and a chance to save their kingdom.

The soundtrack features the return of the songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Richard Lopez, who bring us seven new songs for the film, as well as composer Christphe Beck, who once again composes the score for the film, utilizing elements from the songs featured in the film. While the songs are great, they’re not quite up there with the previous films hit Let It Go, Into The Unknown is, however, pretty darn close.

In the film, the song is performed by Idina Menzel (Elsa), with Norwegian singer Aurora. The single, performed by Panic! At The Disco, is featured during the end credits. The video features lead singer (and actually, presently the sole member of the group) Brendon Urie performing on stage to an empty audience, with clips featuring Elsa battling the oceans waves. In my opinion, although the film version of the song is good, the version performed by Panic! At The Disco greatly improves the song. Also, other artists may not feel as inspired by this song, unlike Let It Go, so we not may get interesting covers as good as Brian Hull’s featuring several Disney characters.

His Scuttle is spot on

The soundtrack also features All Is Found by Kacey Musgraves and Lost In The Woods performed by Weezer. And, yes, all the songs from the film are in the SCIFI.radio library, you’re sure to hear them while listening to your favorite geek-centric radio station (stay tuned)!

Frozen 2 is now in theaters (go see it), and the soundtrack is available where ever your favorite music is sold.
