John David Washington (BlackkKlansman, The Book of Eli) stars in Tenet. It’s too soon to see if he’s hero or pawn, but he’s definitely in the center of the action. English actors Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Batman in Matt Reeves’ new The Batman) and Sir Michael Caine, CBE (Ebenezer Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol, Alfred Pennyworth in Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, Peachy Carnehan in The Man Who Would Be King) co-star. The movie also features Elizabeth Debicki (Ayesha in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and 3), and Sir Kenneth Branagh (Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express).

Time travel, as every science fiction writer knows (and most SF readers know) is difficult do well, easy to do badly, but when it’s done well, it can be wonderful. Tenet promises time travel and espionage.
