Canadian actor Kirby Morrow, the voice of Golu in Dragonball Z, has passed away at the age of 47. No cause of death has been yet announced.

Morrow was born August 28, 1973, in Jasper, Alberta, Canada. He died November 19, 2020 in Vancouver, B. C., Canada. He had nearly 200 roles in TV shows, movies, and videogames, mostly doing voiceovers. He also performed in several plays.

Morrow was well known for his voicework on many cartoons and videogames. In addition to He voiced Goku in Dragonball Z, Miroku provided voices for several variations of InYuasha, and both Anakin Skywalker and General Grievous in Lego Star Wars, as well as Michelangelo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. Of his live-action roles, he was probably best known for his work in Stargate. He played the Jaffa warrior Tara’c in the SG-1 episode “The Warrior” and a militia soldier in “Cor-ai.” He was better known, however, for his role asCaptain Dave Kleinman in Stargate: Atlantis and reprising that role in Stargate: Universe.

His other voice roles included Tony Stark in Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk and Eternals, Prince Eric and the Nutcracker in Barbie in the Nutcracker, and Champ Bear in Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot, among many others.

His guest roles included such shows as Supernatural (which just ended after fifteen years), Special Unit 2, Van Helsing, Arrow, The Flash, Legion, and The Man in the High Castle. He also played Officer Petrocelli in three episodes of Supergirl.

Morrow was a welcome and respected guest at many conventions. He will be remembered and missed.
