Actor and dialect coach Andrew Jack has died of complications from COVID-19 at the age of 76. He was born Andrew Hutchinson January 28, 1944 in London, England. He died March 31, 2020 at a hospital in Chertsey, Surrey, UK.

The son of actor Stephen Jack (Sir John Treneglos in Poldark, Zenon in The Tomorrow People, and Farrell, Sr. in Dr. Who “Terror of the Autons”), Andrew Jack was perhaps best known as a dialect coach who made a mean curry, but he also appeared in front of the camera, He was Major Caluan Ematt in Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens and General Ematt in SW VIII: The Last Jedi.

Dialect coach on over a hundred movies and TV shows, Andrew Jack worked on all three Lord of the Rings movies, four of the Star Wars movies, five of the MCU movies, and most recently, The Batman. He provided the voice of Moloch in Solo: A Star Wars Story and played Roebling in the time travel movie Kate & Leopold.

Andrew Jack was married three times. He was married to Felicity Hutchinson from 1974 to 1987; they had two children together. He was married to Paula Jack from 2000 to 2018, then divorced and was married to Gabrielle Rogers from 2019 until his death. His widow, Gabrielle Rogers is currently in Australia, quarantined because of the travel bans. She was unable to be at her husband’s side when he died.
