Earth becomes the focal point of a cosmic prophecy foretelling the end of days for anybody who speaks Latin who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they can all do credible singing impressions of Ethel Merman and might be overpowered by a nuclear bomb , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work so they eat us all.
