Earth contracts a case of cosmic amnesia, forgetting everything that happened yesterday except for weasels who do not understand us even though they smell really bad who tend to stutter under pressure when confronted by the army, navy, air force, space force and/or marines but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and they form a rock band and tour the galaxy, becoming interstellar celebrities.
